Chair, Board of Trustees: Mr. G. Reiner '03

Mr. Geoff Reiner ’03 has always had a passion for people. After spending time in the corporate world, Geoff started a business in management consulting where he worked with small and medium enterprises. Since 2010, Geoff has taken on fractional executive roles, partnered with CEO’s, managed sales teams and helped over 20 companies achieve double-digit growth.

In a more recent engagement, Geoff held senior leadership positions with an energy and infrastructure firm. Throughout a three-year period, he generated over $100M in new business revenue through both Fortune 500 companies as well as local, privately held SME’s. Here, Geoff was also responsible for a substantial capital raise where he worked with a number of different investment partners to provide the necessary capital injection to advance the company toward their 5-year plan.

In 2020, Geoff joined Wentworth Strategy Group as a Partner and Sales Advisor. Wentworth is a diversified management consultancy located in Hamilton, ON that is focused on helping small and medium enterprises thrive. Through Wentworth, Geoff works with his clients to enhance revenue generation and strengthen overall business valuation in preparation for a sale. He also works with clients in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, technology and the energy sector to double sales and increase profit margins.

Geoff is a McMaster University graduate of the MBA program at the DeGroote School of Business. He was highly engaged in co-curricular activities and was elected as class President.  During his presidency, he facilitated a number of legacy initiatives that continue today.  Prior to attending the DeGroote School of Business, he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

In his spare time, Geoff loves to spend time outdoors, exploring and hiking with his wife and their young family.

Geoff serves on the Executive and Nominating Committees of the Board of Governors.

Mr. M. Bentham

Mark has spent more than 20 years as a manufacturing and operations executive, primarily in the energy and industrial sectors. He specialized in running multi-site manufacturing organizations and global supply chains. His career included considerable time abroad with almost 10 years living in China where he met his wife and where their first daughter was born.
                      
Mark is a native of Hamilton and has a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University in Montreal. He enjoys time with family, travel, gardening and golf.
                      
Mark has been an HSC parent for just over four years, with his oldest daughter currently enrolled in the Montessori program.

Dr. M. Doble

Dr. Martin Doble spent 15 years running a strategy consulting business based in London, UK but operating around the world. The business was then merged with Hatch, a global business of Canadian origin, which brought him to Canada. He is a board member for Hatch, responsible for strategy and development across the business and the globe. Martin previously ran the infrastructure, consulting and iron and steel business units for Hatch and managed regional businesses around the world. He has lived in the UK, India, Germany, the USA and Brazil, and undertaken assignments in over 60 countries around the world. He is a member of 14 boards of directors for Hatch around the world and a member of the pension committee.
                      
Martin speaks fluent English, French and German. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Birmingham, and master and doctorate degrees in Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
                      
Martin has been an HSC parent for 14 years. One son is an alumnus and currently in university, while his second son is in Senior School. Both of Martin's children have enjoyed the arts and athletic prgrams at HSC. 

Mrs. C. Mills '94

Christine Mills is an Assurance and Advisory Partner with SB Partners Chartered Professional Accountants in Burlington. With over 20 years of experience serving clients in the public and private sectors, Christine’s client experience covers a wide range of industries including manufacturing and distribution, utilities, life sciences, health care and not-for-profit organizations. Much of her career has focused on corporate reporting, business structure, family succession and tax planning.

Prior to joining SB Partners, Christine worked with Ernst & Young in Hamilton and Toronto where she led audit teams for many not-for-profit organizations in the Hamilton area, as well as multi-national public corporations reporting on the TSX and the NASDAQ.

Christine graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1998 with a degree in Honours Business Administration and obtained her Chartered Accountant designation in 2000.

Christine and her husband Warren (’94) are both proud alumni of HSC and their sons currently attend the Middle and Senior School. She and her family enjoy participating in local sports leagues and travelling as a family in the off-season.

Active in her community, Christine is a volunteer with the audit committee for the Bay Area Health Trust.

Christine is the Chair of the Finance Committee, serves on the Executive Committee and is a member of the Board of Trustees.

Mr. E. Nanayakkara '99

Eric is the Managing Partner of Regency Law Group, a full-service firm with its head office proudly located in downtown Hamilton. In addition to managing the firm, he operates a bespoke litigation practice and is frequently engaged as a private mediator assisting lawyers and litigants through complex issues to arrive at efficient resolutions. After completing his undergraduate work, he earned a Juris Doctor in Australia where he also completed Masters studies in Advanced Commercial Negotiations. 
 
He has served as President and Director on numerous boards and takes pride in contributing to the advancement of arts, culture and his deeply focused meditation practice. Concurrent with his role as Trustee, he is a Director of the Hamilton Club, a Trustee of the Hamilton Law Association and an Executive Member of the Hamilton Lawyers’ Club. He is the former Regional Director for the Ontario Bar Association’s Central South Region and maintains active positions on a number of the associations sub-committees and its Governing Council.
 
Eric is an alumni of Hillfield Strathallan College (‘99). He lives in Hamilton with his wife Puja Nanayakkara (’01), their daughter Kaya and her younger sibling who is soon to arrive.

Mr. J. Tiong

James Tiong holds a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University, specialization in Management Information System, and a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto. He also completed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management Executive Program in Artificial Intelligence and is a certified Project Management Professional.

He has two academic publications to date and possess years of executive experience incorporate strategy development, operational management, and project implementation. James is currently an advisor for Harvard Business Review and board of director of Common Compass, a non-profit youth organization. He believes in empowering children to be confident about their abilities and taking actions to make the world a better place.

James’ son and daughter have been attending HSC since kindergarten and are currently in Montessori M9 and Grade 8. In his spare time, James enjoys running, travelling, listening to music, and spending time with his family.

Ms. A. Weaver '02

Alexandra (‘Alex’) Weaver is an Investment Advisor with Weaver Wealth Advisory Group, BMO Nesbitt Burns. Together with her team, Alex demonstrates to business owners and professionals how to keep more of their income and successfully grow and protect their wealth. As a trained lawyer, Alex is uniquely qualified to work with her team’s wealth planning consultants and experts, and coordinating with the trusted advisors of her clients to develop wealth plans that focus on estate, philanthropic, cash management and other specialized needs.

Alex obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Windsor, where she was awarded the Windsor Law Prize in Access to Justice. She practiced in Hamilton prior to joining Weaver Wealth Advisory Group as an Investment Advisor and Chartered Investment Manager.

Alex is a graduate of Hillfield Strathallan College (’02). She lives in Hamilton with her husband and fellow alumnus Charlie Sherman (’03) and their bulldog ‘Levi’.

Ms. K. Yates

Kathryn has spent the last 20 years as owner operator of Image Honda in Hamilton, an automotive dealership in the Queenston Automotive Group. She recently retired from daily operations but continues in a governance role on the Board of Directors. Kathryn also serves on the Board of Landlink, a private corporation engaged in commercial real estate.

Kathryn is an AMI CASA trained Montessori teacher. Prior to her involvement in the automotive industry Kathryn taught in an AMI Montessori School in Toronto. Kathryn's post-secondary education occurred at the University of Waterloo where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology.

Kathryn recently returned to education as a supply teacher in HSC's Montessori School. She is also a reading tutor for Neighbour to Neighbour Centre, a local non-profit organization focussed on improving the literacy skills of children in Grades 1 to 4.

Kathryn lives in Ancaster with her partner Rob and children, both of whom attend HSC. Graham is in the Senior School and Holly is in the Middle School. Kathryn enjoys participating in outdoor activities with her family such as hiking the Hamilton Conservation trails, skiing and spending time at their cottage.
