The HSC Difference

A seamless academic journey from 18 months to 18 years. HSC offers a unique educational pathway for students through four school offerings: Junior, Montessori, Middle and Senior, together making up our College community.
Personalized Learning
HSC students thrive in our academic environment which allows them to follow their passions and interests. As they establish a personal connection to learning, students become joyful and engaged. Our seamless and enriched academic program provides an authentic experiential learning journey that is key to a lifelong path of educational discovery.
Co-curricular Programming
By exposing students to a variety of experiences, we afford them a greater opportunity to realize their potential. Beginning at age six, our students are offered broad co-curricular programming in arts, athletics, service and leadership. Co-curricular activities are included in student tuition.
Student Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our students, staff and faculty is of paramount importance. HSC strives to have every member of our community reach their fullest potential and recognizes that success and peak performance can only be achieved when individuals are at their best–socially, emotionally, physically and mentally. HSC’s integrated services enhance this holistic experience.
Physical Literacy
At HSC, students have positive physical literacy experiences in multiple environments to strengthen their physical, social and emotional development. In our multi-use facilities, students have the opportunity to participate within HSC's unique Physical Literacy Framework. Through this framework, students are exposed to activities and games that develop strategies to be lifelong movers. At HSC, we foster the joy of movement so our students can be active and healthy for life.
Our Community
At HSC, each child is known, challenged to do his or her best, and supported in their pursuits. Our community is further supported by the contributions of key groups, including the Parents’ Guild, Alumni Association, Board of Governors and Trustees, and our many community partners.
Transportation
Our bus drivers cover 30-plus routes each day within a one-hour radius of our College. Students enjoy main route morning pick-up and select from two afternoon drop-off times, departing at 3:40 or 5:00 p.m. Our convenient transportation program is included in tuition.
Nutritious Meals
At HSC, we believe that positive food culture is linked to academic performance and a student’s wellbeing. As a College, we offer an extensive daily dining experience, where we promote high standards of student nutrition—an identified HSC strategic priority. Click here to read more.
myHSC
Our secure portal, myHSC, allows students and parents to view school-specific events, announcements, course or class material, assignment requirements and due dates. All parents are offered a login and training on how to use myHSC. During the year, families may also receive special announcements, updates and event reminders via e-mail.
