Locally Sourced Ingredients
As we work to build a more sustainable campus, an important aspect of that is to locally source ingredients. Not only does this ensure premium freshness for our meals, but it also supports Canadian farmers and promotes sustainable agriculture.
Not only do we prioritize using Canadian farmers, but we also encourage our students to garden and grow their own vegetables. With many fruit/vegetable gardens on campus, our students are taught the importance of caring for and growing their own foods. Once harvested by the students, these foods are used in the HSC kitchen.
