Our challenging Middle School curriculum builds upon the fundamental learning blocks established in our Junior and Montessori Schools. It also serves as a stepping stone for success in our Senior School. We regularly review and refine curriculum in French, English, science, mathematics, physical and health education, the arts and social sciences to ensure we offer engaging lessons that appeal to a variety of learning styles.

  • Outdoor Education

When integrated with curriculum, outdoor education reinforces classroom concepts in an exciting manner. HSC students explore and take controlled risks in a safe environment which helps develop self-confidence and strong bonds with their classmates.

Outside of our annual outdoor education trips, there are several opportunities for Middle School students to participate in such as field trips or the Junior Duke Program. Complementing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program, the Junior Duke Program encourages youth to be active, participate in new activities and pursue interests.
