Alumni Association’s Leadership Scholarship

The Alumni Association’s Leadership Scholarship celebrates four students annually entering Grade 9. Two recipients are chosen from internal candidates as well as two recipients who are external candidates. These awards highlight and recognize the leadership achievements and potential of each recipient. Each scholarship is valued at $5,000 and is offered as a one-time entrance award.

A Selection Committee established and chaired by the Director of Admissions or another individual as designated by the Head of College, will review applications and prepare a short list of applicants to interview.

The Alumni Association’s Leadership Scholarships are offered to eligible students who are:
  • A Canadian Citizen or permanent resident 
  • Have a strong academic ability as demonstrated through report cards, consistently achieving A’s or 85% or higher in their subjects
  • Are entering Grade 9 from either HSC or another institution 
All new candidates to HSC must submit a regular Application for Admission as well as the completed Scholarship Application. 

Please note: The student who receives the Alumni-sponsored Student Leadership Award will be expected to participate in various Alumni events throughout the year.
